Summer Camp on August 3-5, 2007.

Like previous years, Houston Durgabari Society will organize a Two-Day Youth Summer Camp on August 3-5, 2007. It is a three-day/two-night OVERNIGHT camp at the Durga Bari Auditorium. The goal of the camp is to enhance understanding of Indian culture and religion among youth.

Time : Starts August 3 (Friday) at 6:00 pm and Ends August 5 (Sunday) at 6:00 pm

Activities at the camp will include

• Discussion/demonstration sessions on Indian history, science in ancient India, basics of Hinduism and puja rituals
• Indian classical music and dance.oap, etc.)
• Career counseling.
• Meditation, yoga practices.
• Movies, movie-making techniques, and film critique.
• Sports and fitness.

Each camper should bring

1. sleeping bag and pillow
2. hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.)
3. bathing suit and towel
4. two changes of clothes

Registration Fee : $20 (That includes meals, movies, lecture notes, stationery, bag and HDBS Camp T-shirt.)
