• November 29-30, 2008: Pran Pratishta Diwas - Third Anniversary of Pran Pratistha will be celebrated on 29 and 30 November 2008. Please mark your calendar with the following schedule:

  As a part of Namjogga Bhajan and Kritan will be performed by two groups- one will represent Govindaji Gaudiya Math and second one will be represented by Houston Durgabari. • December 7, 2008: Swami Bhaskarananda Maharaj_ji returns to Durgabari - Please join us to a Bhajan Madhanna on 7 December 2008 from 4:00- 6:00 PM as we welcome Swami Bhaskarananda Maharaj and receive his blessing.

MASTER PLAN Passed Convincingly!

HDBS GBM was held Sunday, November 23rd. Sur Auditorium was filled with enthusiastic members, voting on key decisions for Durga Bari.

There was a wide diversity of questions regarding Master Plan. Facilities committee presented the process behind the Master Plan, reasoning behind the creation, the improved features of this futuristic plan. This plan paints the vision of the future and is not an authorization to build.

Proposed Master Plan was passed in convincing fashion with over 70% majority, inclusive of the in-person votes and written proxy votes. This Master Plan was previously passed by the Executive Board and by the Council of Trustees.

It brings to a successful completion months of efforts and involvement of many Durga Bari members. HDBS Executive Board wholeheartedly thanks the members for attending the meeting and helping define the vision of the future of Durga Bari.

Jatra @ Durgabari– Spring 2009 !!!

The HDBS is going to stage a 'Jatra' (Chandragupta by D.L. Roy) in spring 2009. The first meeting and audition of the participants are going to be held at HDBS auditorium at 4:00 PM on November 8, 2008.Please attend the meeting if you are interested in taking part in this event.

We need significant help in background music, costume, makeup, stage management, actors, actresses, lights and sound, brochure and other areas! With your help, we can make this a resounding success.
